Gonçalo Cadilhe is a professional traveller, writer and photographer who organises mini-tours around the globe. He has published ten books and presented travel documentaries for RTP, a public television group in Portugal.
Born in Figueira da Foz in 1968, after a brief stint in the world of Business Management, Cadilhe began his career as a professional travel writer in 1993. In 2003, he set himself the challenge of going around the world without travelling by air; in 2007, he followed in the wake of Ferdinand Magellan, the first to circumnavigate the globe; and in 2008, he went to the best surfing spots on earth. The last trip he made around the world was in 2020, an incredible 31-day adventure where he visited countries like Uruguay and Kenya.
